Exterior Finish Coating System – EXT 6.7 Fiberglass
EXT 6.7D Polyurethane, Pigmented (over epoxy)
The epoxy base coat provides a hard chemical-resistant base and the polyurethane topcoat provides chemical and abrasion resistance combined with color and gloss retention properties.
High performance polyurethane coatings have evolved from industrial to commercial and architectural use. Durability, chemical and solvent resistance and general toughness of the finish are typical properties of these coatings. This is a solvent-based, 2 component aliphatic polyurethane coating for use where abrasion, weathering, chemical and solvent resistance is required. This product is highly suitable for either exterior or interior use in industrial, commercial and marine environments. It has excellent chemical and abrasion resistance. Good for high traffic areas. Resists the strong solvents used in graffiti removal. Contains strong solvents that could lift conventional primers. Uses include storage tanks, chemical plants, breweries, waste treatment plants, bottling plants, etc. in harsh chemical and marine environments, etc. Excellent anti-graffiti system and an excellent topcoat over epoxy coatings where gloss and color retention are paramount.

6.7 Fiberglass
“Any surface contamination such as dirt, oil and grease, other foreign matter, mold release or wax must be removed by means of solvent washing. Other methods of cleaning may be used to remove dirt, oil and grease, but solvent washing is required as a final step to remove any traces of mold release or wax”.
